Homeschool: Rhythms and Patterns
Fridays, Apr 29-May 17 | 1:15-2:25 pm

The natural world is filled with repeating patterns that we often don’t even notice. In this class we will discover and learn about patterns that occur in nature and art and science - including fractals, spirals, meanders, and more. We will explore the museum looking for patterns, and we will use art and stories and math to create patterns of our own. Because rhythm is an auditory pattern, one week we will explore rhythms using basic percussion and drums from around the world.
